Meole Brace School

Uniform

Uniform Policy

Further to previous correspondence, you will be aware that governors and school leaders have decided to introduce a new uniform, this means that from September 2023 the new uniform will be worn by every year group.

The vast majority of our students continue to look smart and wear the required school uniform with pride. We believe it is a key element of the school’s identity and standards as a community.

We need every parent/carer to support us with school uniform, so we can maintain our high standards and consistent approach.

There are photos in your child’s school planner and given below of acceptable uniform.

Meole Brace School "New" uniform guidelines are below.

Please note specific health and safety guidance as provided by the Association for Physical Education (AfPE)

"No body, facial or ear piercings are permitted to be worn during PE lessons, clubs or fixtures. All students are required to remove piercings before the start of the activity. Taping is not permitted to be used to cover existing piercings”

Items of uniform for Meole Brace School may be purchased from our supplier schoolshopdirect.co.uk, either on-line or in person. Please consult the shop website for further details, including size guidance and price lists. Items which are not Meole Brace specific can be purchased elsewhere.

NOTE: Parents and students should be aware that the school views the wearing of correct uniform as a key element of the school’s identity and standards as a community. Any student refusing to follow these guidelines may be sent home until they are able to do so.

I hope that this uniform information is helpful, but it is impossible to provide an exhaustive list. If you are in doubt about any aspect of uniform, please feel free to contact your child’s Head of Year or myself.

Thank you for your support in making sure that your son or daughter has the correct uniform.
