The ‘Safer School’ initiative is a security/safety initiative supported by Shropshire Council and West Mercia Police. In 2005, Meole Brace School became an accredited ‘Safer School’ and continues to be so.

For the latest accreditation parents were surveyed the following:

"Do you feel that our site is a safe site?  93% responded, Yes.

"Do you feel that the site is tidy and welcoming" 95% responded, Yes.

"On occasions where you have visited the site do you feel that both the visitor badges and staff iD system is well deployed "99% Responded, Yes.
